This summer, twenty student representatives travelled to our nation’s capital, where they enriched their understanding of the distinctive socio-economic and cultural characteristics of Beijing and Hong Kong, two dynamic cities within our nation.
During the tour, students visited a number of world-renowned heritage sites, including the Palace Museum, the Great Wall at Badaling, Tiananmen Square, the National Museum of China, the Military Museum of the Chinese People’s Revolution, and Qianmen Street. These visits allowed our students not only to witness the grandeur of China’s history, but also to reflect on how the nation’s cultural heritage continues to shape its modern development.
Equally meaningful were the exchange activities with their counterparts at Beijing RDFZ Xishan (人大附中西山學校). Beyond formal discussions, students from both schools shared a dinner together, creating valuable space for academic exchanges as well as candid conversations about lifestyle, learning environments, and perspectives on their own cities. This interaction nurtured friendship, cultural appreciation, and a deeper sense of national identity.

S6 KWONG HIU LAM 鄺曉霖︰
我這次考察團的感想可被概括為一句話：「今人不見古時月，今月曾經照古人。」本次所去的故宮、圓明園等地都是古人曾生活過的地方。我們腳下的長街可能曾是耳熟能詳的皇帝們、高官們、妃嬪們真實踏足過之地，而這承載著歷史長河上無數人的喜怒哀樂的地方也同時承載著所有今人、遊客的旅遊記憶。走在這些道路上，我彷彿能想像古往今來之人的身影在眼前走過、重疊，再消失於視野之中，瞬間讓我感受到了歷史的厚重感。然而這些人無論當時地位多高，名氣多大，如今也化作了一捧塵土，與常人無異。大概歷史或人生就是如此令人感慨萬千的吧。至於最開心和難忘的環節則是和朋友一起在商場邊聊天邊逛街，這樣的機會很難得！
S5 LI KA MOON 李嘉玟︰
北京，一個擁有上下三千年歷史的城市，在濃厚的文化底藴下，成為了現今政治、外交、軍事各方面的中心城市，我一開始對北京的印象很模糊，許多知識都只是在文字中了解到，淺薄而不真實。直到親自來到這裏，才認識到來自「老北京」的人間煙火氣，是書本中沒有敍述到的民間生活。印象最深刻的必是老舍茶館，在那裏，偶然窺見了從前的生治百態。踏上樓梯，喝一杯茶，聽台上一埸戲，輕鬆而悠閑，是老一輩在忙碌中的一絲樂趣。口技、魔術、雜技、相聲、打快板，各式各樣，大開眼界，彷彿以前的歲月回到了現在，既新奇又有趣，實在令人難忘。老舍茶館，在北京記錄了一代又一代人的故事，但願當中的故事能延續下去，當中的非遺能𠄘傳下去，歴史亦能長久繼續下去。
S3 MA HOK YU 馬學瑜︰
這是我首次到訪北京，對這裏的風土人情和歷史古蹟深感好奇，在同好們的陪同下探索這個文化匯聚之都。當中不同景點，最期待的、最難忘的莫過於故宮博物院。課本中的景象躍出紙上，面前就是宏偉的城門和宮殿。紅色高大城牆的包圍下，過去的故事封塵在遊客們的歡聲笑語之中。我被眼前所見憾動，隨着我走過中軸線，老師和導遊的講解喚起課堂上的知識，我腦海中不禁構建起過去人們的生活，彷彿一場跨越時空的對話。兩個小時的時間，我不僅牢固了自身知識基礎，更沉澱在歷史人物的情感當中，屬實精彩萬分！
