As the School believes that the all-rounded development of a student is important, the school is promoting STEAM for ALL students. By allowing S1 students to have a taste of STEAM and cultivate their interest, two different STEAM workshops were held during their bridging program Get-Set-Go. These enable the students to develop their creativity, problem-solving skills, collaboration with others, and understanding of the basic programming language Python.

Lego

The students were grouped into 2-3 groups and they cooperated to build a robot arm with the use of LEGO SPIKE Prime. After constructing the mechanical parts, they write a program to control the robot.

The students were given different challenges and they all managed to succeed. They were very excited and enjoyed the experience a lot.

Python x A.I. Brawl Card Game

Using the Card Game as an aid provides an opportunity for the students to learn Python in an interesting, motivational, and cooperative setting. Through this, the enthusiasm for computer programming can be ignited and developed.
