This year Social Science Week’s extended learning activity was held on 27th and 28th January in our newly opened TL Oasis, which can provide a sufficient space and ideal venue for larger scale activities. This activity was co-organized by Liberal Studies, Geography and History panels. The first day’s contestants and participants came from S.2 and S.3 classes while the second day’s from S.1 students. The activity comprised toss-up questions, open-ended higher-order questions and also think-tank questions. Some were academic questions and some were general knowledge questions. In order to involve senior form students in the activity, a working team of S.4 girls was selected to be responsible for setting questions and holding the function. As it turned out, the activities of both days went really well. Contestants were making good effort to answer the questions in English while think-tanks also actively participated in the activity. A total of more than two hundred students across different forms have joined this event.
