Embarking on a journey of creativity and innovation, our students participated in the Mechanical Flower workshop this year. The course was held by the Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers (HKFEW) in cooperation with the Polytechnic University Hong Kong. The school aimed to ignite curiosity and provide additional exposure to the students. Besides letting them engage in hands-on learning, this workshop aims to cultivate design skills, engineering knowledge and teamwork, offering students a unique advantage in exploring the different realms of STEAM education.
The students have learned various skills via the course. And they made considerable effort to construct the final product – a Mechanical Flower
- Assembling the mechanical parts of the mechanical flower
- Soldering the breadboard and Constructing the electronics part
- Programming to control the movements of the flower.
At the end of the school year, some of the finished products were exhibited in the Design School of the Polytechnic University Hong Kong to showcase the great effort of the students. The amazingly adorable flowers put our students’ creativity on full display.
