The “Student Mentorship Programme on Innovation and Technology” (2023/24) is a student project activity cum exhibition on the theme “Innovative Technologies and Ideas for Better Living”, co-organised by EDB and Cyberport.

Among over 100 entries of STEAM projects from primary and secondary schools, 15 projects were selected and the corresponding student teams were paired up with the entrepreneurs of the Cyberport start-ups who serve as the students’ mentors.

One team from our school (3B Huie Hoi Yin Lavena, 3B Woo Wing Chi, 3C students Cheng Kwan Sum Agnes and 3C Lam On Kiu) participated in the competition and achieved remarkable success by winning the “Pitch Competition Award.” The team developed an impressive prototype for a visually impaired-friendly app called ‘VIP (Visually Impaired People) Journey,’ utilizing technologies such as Firebase, Arduino, and GPS. Their work not only showcases innovative design but also reflects a strong commitment to serving the community.
