During the pandemic, teachers and students planned different online and offline reading activities with passion and creativity. As a result, our school library won the “Quality Library Awards 2021” organized by the Quality Library Network. A total of more than 60 primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong participated in the awards, and our school is one of the four commended secondary schools.
The theme of the Award is ‘Libraries under the Epidemic’. Due to the epidemic, on-campus activities became impossible. The library then organized a joint school online reading club, through which students can share the joy of reading with students from other schools without having to meet one another. When the epidemic eased slightly, the library seized the opportunity to hold two book fairs on campus, and students took the opportunity to buy good books. During the reading week, the Library Society designed a fun and exciting interclass contest for guessing the book titles, an activity that students enjoyed very much.
